A CubeSat could use up to three air core magnetic torquers for momentum unloading. The torque requirement is based on the peak disturbance torque for a 3U design because the magnetic torquers, on average, must produce sufficient torque to control the spacecraft. Since the torquers can only produce 2-axis torque this requirement is an average across the entire orbit.
An air core torquer does not have any residual dipole and is simpler to integrate into a CubeSat than an iron core torquer. It can be used as an on/off device or as a linear control device.
The interface is a single two line plug connector. The number of windings and wire gauge can be customized to your requirements. The wire comes pre wrapped on a frame which can be attached to the CubeSat frame described above. The frame fits in any bay of an nU CubeSat and is flush with the frame.
