The Academic Edition of the toolbox contains much of the Spacecraft Control Toolbox professional software including the CAD tools, attitude dynamics and control design functions, orbit mechanics, and the CubeSat module. The product includes extensive documentation in Adobe Portable Document Format, including our textbook on spacecraft attitude and orbit control system design.

Please note that the Academic Edition does NOT include the following modules of the Professional Edition: Attitude Control, Estimation, Imaging, Orbit, Link, Power, Propulsion, Thermal. The Online API shows exactly which functions are included via the SC, Common, CubeSat, Math and Plotting modules.
Please note that Academic Edition licenses are sold only to university faculty for use in their courses or to graduate students for their research projects. A university ID and email address is required. Groups designing actual satellites and commercial users should purchase the Professional Edition. The software will be made available via download and may be installed in a computer lab for use by up to 20 students. The license is perpetual and includes one year of email technical support. We also offer a separate support package for design support, including custom scripts for your class or mission.
